3 squares unsweetened chocolate (double to 6 squares with new Baker's sizing or 6 oz)
3 squares semi-sweetened chocolate (double to 6 squares with new Baker's sizing 6 oz)
1 c. water
2 2/3 c. sugar
pinch of salt
4 t. vanilla
1 pint whipping cream, whipped until very firm
Combine water, sugar and salt. Let mixture come to a rolling boil. Then boil without stirring for no more than 5 minutes. ( NJ boils for 3 1/2 - 4 minutes) Remove from heat, add chocolate squares. Let it cool for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until you can touch the sides of the pan and it's warm. Whip cream until very firm. Add vanilla to chocolate mixture and beat well. Fold whipped cream and chocolate together well. (Just stir, don't use a beater or mixer.) Keep in fridge or can be frozen. Add 2 - 3 large spoonfuls of mix to very hot milk. Stir and enjoy!
