Soft Sugar Cookies (good for rolling out and using a cookie cutter)

2 eggs
1 c. butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 t. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
5 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt

Cream butter, add sugar and blend well. Add eggs one at a time and then add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and add them alternately with sour cream. Chill at least 30 minutes or until firm enough to roll out.

These can be rolled thicker 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick.

Bake at 350 until light brown around the edges. About 10 - 15 minutes.

Makes 5 dozen cookies.

Frosting
1/2 c. butter
1 lb. powdered sugar
canned milk (evaporated)

Cream butter, add the powdered sugar and milk alternately until it is the right consistency. Frost.
